![]() ![]() you choose to ignore the messages that members send to wendy’s young street or the food trucks the members send to joy on her drama set. You choose to ignore the times when red velvet members hang out together. ![]() just because they’re not performing on talk shows in the us doesn’t negate their success. i’m sick of yall acting like this comeback flopped when the fact is that south korea has been & will always be red velvet’s main market because of their company’s vision. The number of people agreeing oh man□□ i don’t think this sub loves rv as much as some of yall act like (aside from some of their title tracks & albums tbh)!įirst of all, fmr is one of the most successful comebacks of this year from song success to album sales to acclaim. US (#36)Įdit: and the closeness/coworker take is tired asf, not true and also irrelevant They don’t even have a US distributor or label yet they consistently pull the best numbers there, even with a Red song like Feel My Rhythm (highest peak for an SM artist on the Global 200 (#20) and Global 200 excl. Everything they’ve achieved has been organic asf, can’t say the same for other groups in the label. The demand is there, you just don’t see it bc you aren’t up to date and SM doesn’t push them towards success AT ALL. Just because they don’t have mass-bought views on the videos doesn’t mean they aren’t relevant any more □ they even achieved the highest amount of monthly listeners from any SM act: 8.1m+ FMR is still in Melon top 10 weekly, tying with Psycho (their so called best release) for most amount of weeks. From less than 200k sales for Finale, to 350k with Queendom, and then 650k with Feel My Rhythm. You would think they would have fallen off after that long, but they achieved even more than they ever did. I’m talking millions of views.Īnyway, Red Velvet keep selling more and more albums every comeback, which is extremely impressive after their long hiatus. Also, in the first week of FMR release the views kept getting mass deleted and the video lost a lot of views from that. Their views are low bc their record label doesn’t buy ads for them. I think this opinion is unpopular because I've never seen anyone mention this before and people still refer to them as being in the Top 3 gg's.Īll those people chose Agree yet no one is arguing for that side? Also, they don’t release content regularly at all □ not like TWICE or NCT does. They're cemented as one of the top gg's of the third gen but overall, I don't think they'd only be somewhere in the Top 10 tbh. I find this really sad because Psycho was (imo) their best release and they probably would have only gone up from there if not for the hiatus and Wendy's injury. ![]() At this point I think Red Velvet as a group has probably passed their peak and are now in the phase where they are riding solely on clout and loyalty. The group also doesn't feel as.together anymore? Like idk they all seem to be doing their own stuff and they're really giving me long time colleagues who respect and are used to each other rather than close friends. At first I thought it may be a lack of content but they actually release stuff pretty regularly. I also think that people just care less about the group in general and there's just not as much buzz about them. Their views are by no means bad, it's just not the level you would expect for a group which is said to be in the Top 3. All their recent releases are comparatively low on views compared to their "competitors" like Twice and BP and even compared to a lot of the 4th gen groups i.e. I think that Red Velvet's cultural relevance as well as popularity has taken a super sharp nosedive ever since their hiatus. ![]()
